The CRISCO-HT portal provides an ergonomic way to search and read the texts of corpora developed by
researchers at the
CRISCO Lab at the University of Caen,
Normandy, and was created thanks to the generous funding of the
HIGH-TECH project by the
Normandy
Region and led by Professor
Pierre Larrivée.
The
text collections are calibrated by genre and geographical provenance, lemmatised and syntactically
annotated, using the
semi-automated workflow
developed
by research engineer Rayan Ziane (see Ziane and Romanova 2023). They thus support research into
linguistic and cultural evolution through time.
Published in November 2023, the CHRONIQUES corpus is a collection of historical narratives produced
in
Normandy from the 12th to 19th centuries, with one text per century (
see full list of texts, from where they can be
individually
read). Searches can be performed for individual elements or collocations using forms, lemma, parts
of
speech or syntactic function (see the
Search tab).
Further
information on how to use the site is available under
Documentation tab.
